The August birthstone of a peridot is one of the oldest known gems, mined for thousands of years from deep within the earth but can also be one of the few gems to come from outer space, found within meteorites. Peridots are known by ancient Romans as the 'emerald of the evening' and are the stone of Compassion. 
 
Each piece is handmade and unique. Pieces may vary slightly from the product pictures.
